BaileyCom Connection to Bailey
NETWORK 90 & INFI 90
Considerations
Hardware
A NETWORK 90 or INFI 90 Computer Interface Unit (CIU)
(NCIU02/03/04) dedicated to the RTXHDB Gateway
(collector) personal computer.
The CIU configured to run at 19.2K baud.
A null-modem RS-232 cable between the CIU unit and the
RTXHDB Gateway (collector) personal computer.
A RTXHDB Gateway (collector) personal computer running
Windows 95 or Windows NT Workstation or Server.
Software
BaileyCom interface software is required on the RTXHDB
Gateway (collector) personal computer.
Notes
Data is requested from the CIU via a READ EXCEPTIONS
command which is issued in a continuous loop, collecting
change-driven data as fast as the CIU can provide it.
Installation
There are no special installation requirements except
that the RTXHDB Gateway (collector) personal computer
must be within RS-232 cable reach of the CIU.
Interface
BaileyCom Collection Interface Programs: The RTXHDB
Gateway is connected to the CIU via RS-232 at 19.2K baud.
The CIUCOL program establishes a list of points in
the CIU and connects them. It then collects change-driven
data as fast as the CIU can provide it. For each RTX
Historical Database defined, a CIUDATA task is run
to periodically transfer values into the database. The
data is retrieved from memory shared with the CIUCOL
task.
